Introduction

The Nahr el Bared Emergency & Recovery Information System is an online platform aiming at consolidating and centralizing all resources and information regarding aid provision to the Nahr el Bared's affected population in North Lebanon. The platform has a multi-layer categorization system, that allows ease of access and is customized to help the users locate information they need in an efficient manner.

1) Reconstruction:
In response to the concerns of some members of the community, UNRWA would like to reiterate
to the community that all stakeholders involved in the reconstruction are committed to rebuilding
the Nahr el Bared camp for the return of its residents. The considerable progress on the ground in
Package one in addition to the tendering of Package two and two schools are the best proof of
that.

ALEF, PHRO, and Witness call on the Lebanese Government to ensure access to Nahr el-Bared camp without discrimination ( 24/10/2007 )

"On October 18, the Association Libanaise pour l’Education et la Formation (ALEF), along with
the Palestinian Human Rights Organization (PHRO), the Palestinian Human Rights Association
(Witness), and Human Rights Watch tried entering Nahr el-Bared camp. Despite two attempts at
different entries of the camp, pursuant of statements of local army commanders, and a
presentation of the file to the nearby army base, the organizations were denied access.
