       Description:IRD proposes an assisstance program in 10 villages(conflict-affected villages) in the Caza of Tyre that will:
- Provide micro-grants targeting 860 rural farm households
- Provide small grants to conflict-affected micro and small businesses
- Provide vocational trainaing (mainly technical)
- Undertake 10 public works providing 6000 person-days of employment

       Description:The NISR project-national Campaign for Initiating,Sorting and Recycling Municipal Solid waste in Lebanon is to promote environmental awareness and protection through campaiging for the adoption of the 3 R s doctrine (Reduce,Reuse, and Recycle)on national scale.The NISR campaign s will be mainly achieved through training school teachers,students and municipalities while simultaneously providing the proper means,tools and mechanisms for waste separation,collection and rectcling.
       Activities:
       Objectives:a)The NISR campaign objective is to promote environmenttal awareness and protection through the adoption of the 3 R s doctrine:Reduce,Reuse & Recycle. b)1,139 Elementary & Intermediary Public Schools throughout Lebanon have participated & adopted in recycling efforts through NISR. c)215,000 students are enviormentally aware and engaged d)915 municipalities are cooperating with the program e)Tons of paper trash is recycled and thousands of trees are saved f)Organic waste is turned into fertilizer
